If it is your first time to visit our office's Beach Beauty Bar for a BOTOX appointment, we typically perform the injection on the same day as your consultation with Dr. Ginger Urbaniak or your aesthetician. You will be asked to make a few expressions that incorporate the movement of upper face, like squinting, frowning, etc., which will allow us to determine where the injections can be best placed for ideal results. The skin will be cleansed and the product will be applied with a fine needle, followed by a cold compress to help reduce bruising, swelling, and tenderness. You can request a numbing cream to make the treatment more comfortable if you're concerned about any pain, but this is generally is unnecessary. BOTOX, Dysport, and Xeomin injections can take anywhere from 10 – 15 minutes to complete. Following your appointment, you will be permitted to resume to your normal routine with no required recovery period.

After the procedure, you may get back to your usual routine, but strenuous activity should be skipped for at least one day. You will be asked to sleep with your head elevated for the first night. After your treatment, it's important to not touch your face as this could accidentally spread the product to undesired areas and affect your results.
